Caro Bio![]() Caroline Guille dit CARO I was born June 1967 in France. After studying psychology at the University of Bordeaux I traveled to Scotland and stayed there from 1988 to 1990. The place held a magic fascination for me. Yet I developed feelings of solitude and of strangeness, perhaps because I was away from my own country. I started painting to stay connected to myself, to my origins. From Scotland I moved to Italy for a two-year stay, taking advantage of work with painters from Pietrasanta, Amalfi and Positano to acquire new techniques. It helped me to express myself in a more personal way. It opened my work to new sensations, new interests. I moved from Italy to the U.S. in 1992, seeking new artistic experiences. Places like Arizona, New Mexico and Florida provided fresh inspiration along with a great feeling of freedom. It is this feeling of freedom, of beauty and hope, that I seek to convey through my canvases. My goal is simple: to try always to be as close as possible to my sensations, to my perceptions and to my desire for authenticity in my artistic choices. Now, I am in Vancouver since the beginning of 2003 where I am being influenced by the light, the mountains, the Pacific and by the beauty of nature. 1999 Euro Art in Barcelona, Spain 2000 Europ’Art in Geneva, Switzerland 2000 Exhibition at the Gallery de la Cite, Lausanne, CH 2001 Lineart in Gent, Belgium 2002 Exhibition at Key Biscayne, Nature Center |
