MY ARTISTIC APPROACH.

A painting, a fullness of existence.

We all have an impossibility to possess ourselves as a complete and absolute being and to know who we are. That is why a painting is like a call which is born out of the discovery of our “finitude”.

That is why painting is a way, for me, to open up myself to new experience through which something seems possible.

To paint is to impart an open experience of understanding and feeling.

.

Through the act of painting , my thoughts are going to unfold until they find they way to exist through colors and shapes.

For this to happen, I need to be intuitively on the same wavelength between what I am feeling and what I am painting.

Then, when I manage to be in tune with my feelings, a certain vision comes and I try to follow that vision, that idea until something comes up. I have no real conscious control when I am working but I know I am following something I have to discover and not losing track of it.

For me, art is a discipline and through our daily work, we can have a glimpse of what the idea of “freedom” can mean even it is only an illusion. When we do a painting, we are not completely free because we don’t know all the reasons why we paint what we paint. It is a fullness that we are always searching for, never reached whose desire makes us live.

I think only the imagination is “freedom”and cannot be separated from the spiritual. The spiritual part of life is what I am looking for while I am painting.

By the means of painting, we get to a universal language. When we paint, we exceed what is around us and this creates a deeper relationship between man and the world.

When I paint, I live this tension that pushes me outside my being towards what founds myself.

What makes us be a human being this is this loss of being, this hunger that causes a desire, that causes a movement, the one to escape from ourselves. This is in this movement that our mind feels a fullness of existence.
